- mercredi 28 janvier 2026
- 17:00 - 19:15
- CCIG, bd du Théâtre 4, Genève
- Organisation: Federal Statistical Office (FSO), in collaboration with CCIG
In an increasingly digital economic environment, the ability to use reliable and interoperable data is becoming a key competitive advantage for companies and institutions. Geneva’s business community operates within a dynamic and highly international ecosystem where secure data exchange can unlock new opportunities for innovation and operational efficiency. Geneva is not only a diplomatic hub, but it is also a global data powerhouse.
The Trusted Data Observatory (TDO) www.trusteddataobservatory.org is a forward-looking initiative set to develop a global metadata platform that will make trusted datasets easier to find, compare, and use. This international initiative based in Geneva is leading by the Swiss Federal Statistical Office and promotes responsible use of data by making high-quality information more visible and comparable by empowering societies to counter misinformation and make informed decisions.
Why attend?
- Discover the TDO vision: Learn how this initiative aims to connect datasets from governments, international organisations, academia, civil society, private sector and beyond to improve the visibility and usability of high-quality data.
- Empower informed decisions: By making trusted data more accessible, the TDO will support evidence-based policy, anticipatory research, and responsible AI applications.
- Unlock efficiency through data reuse: By making existing datasets more visible for humans and machines, the TDO enables companies to reuse data instead of duplicating efforts.
- Strengthen Geneva’s data ecosystem: Building on local expertise, the TDO will strengthen Geneva’s contribution as a hub for quality data, strategic foresight and the digital empowerment of the multilateral system.
